Each year, the NRA invites a number of outstanding youth to join us as the NRA/Brownells Youth Shooting Sports Ambassadors. (The Ambassadors come to us from our co-op partners Boy Scouts of AmericaBSA's VenturingNational High School Rodeo AssociationRoyal RangersUSA Shooting and one youth representing NRA.) What's more, each year, the Ambassadors assist the editors of NRA Family InSights with a dilemma: We may know what we think are the latest and coolest products on offer, but do the youth of today agree? Towards this end, the Ambassadors visit the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, to let us know what new products interested them the most. Today, NRA Youth Ambassador Jenna Fees is here to offer her opinion on what she found the most exciting.

Daisy's New Archery Line
As a petite archery competitor and 4-H instructor, I know how difficult it is to find quality youth bows. My brother and I shot the Daisy YA4001 Longbow, the YA4002 Compound bow and the YA4003 Crossbow with the two fiberglass arrows that came with each set.  We were pleasantly surprised to find that the first two bows were made of durable materials, had good sights, and three comfortable finger rollers. The crossbow had a 29-pound draw weight, an automatic safety switch and a heavy trigger, which prevented accidental discharges. Overall, each product was very accurate and can be used by an ambidextrous archer. After field-testing the Daisy youth archery set, I would highly recommend their bows to any beginner who has a 15- to 24-inch draw length. www.daisy.com
