For hunters who want to keep the bugs away when heading out into the field without smelling like they just showered in bug spray, ThermaCell’s Mosquito Repellent is virtually odorless and effective. A patented technology, which has been evaluated for safety and effectiveness by the Environmental Protection Agency, has proved to be up to 93 percent effective against mosquitoes and other biting insects, and provides up to 50 times more protection than mosquito coils or citronella candles.

Operating on a single butane cartridge that heats a repellent mat that releases allethrin (a synthetic version of pyrethrin), the ThermaCELL covers a 225-square feet area (15 x 15 feet) for up to four hours per mat or 12 hours per refill kit. If a hunter is on your holiday gift-giving list, this is a great way to get them geared up for spring turkey season, but it’s also a perfect for gift for at-home use while grilling, gardening or entertaining outdoors.
