Throom Dueling Tree Lede

What's made of self-healing polymer and is almost as much fun to say as it is to shoot? THROOM! If you're lucky enough to have a backyard range with a good backstop, you can turn your solo practice into a team event with the new THROOM Dueling Tree. It comes as a kit, but fear not: It can be assembled in under a minute with only two metal fasteners. The whole kit and caboodle only weighs 14 lbs., so most shooters can move it easily. That said, it's perfectly fine to leave your THROOM Dueling Tree out in the weather; the company assures us it's all-weather safe.

Speaking of safe, that's sort of the whole point of the THROOM setup. If you accidentally shoot the fully customizable stand, the bullet will pass through the self-sealing material, so it will not bounce back to the firing line as seen with other steel target stand bases and brackets. The Dueling Tree is rimfire and centerfire handgun ammunition--you're good to go with .22, 9mm, .40 and .45.

The kit includes six 6″ Dueling Tree Plates, six Self-Healing Dueling Tree Brackets with screws, one Alpha Stand Bracket Base and one Graded Ball Level to help with easy set up and angle positioning. All you have to do is add standard 2×4s (not included) to build a complete Dueling Tree. Then, to mount a Dueling Tree Plate on its Dueling Tree Bracket, simply snap it into place. (Full assembly instructions in English included!) Now you're ready for some shoot-through safe, ricochet-free fun.

THROOM’s 6″ Dueling Tree Plates react and flip back and forth when hit, leaving only a pin hole in the self-healing target plate. The plate stays put until your opponent hits it back to your side of the Dueling Tree. To use for quick competition: two shooters line up side by side with three plates on each side. The first shooter to hit all six targets to their opponents side, WINS! MSRP $399; ThroomTargets.com
