The Savage Arms Renegauge has been thrilling turkey hunters since it was introduced in 2020 with its low-recoil, high-impact reliability. Five years later, Savage is still adding premium features that will come as part of the standard package. These days, Savage has announced that starting this spring, all Renegauge offerings are drilled and tapped to add an optic. Savage currently offers the Renegauge Shotgun in six models that include the Prairie, the Field, the Competition, the Waterfowl, the Obsession, the Bottomland and the Security. The inclusion of drilled and tapped receivers to the full Renegauge lineup allows Savage shooters to personalize their shooting experience.
“Savage is dedicated to prioritizing the Savage shooter and we keep them at the center of all of our designs,” said RJ Contorno, Senior Product Manager at Savage Arms. “Now that all Renegauge models are drilled and tapped, our customers can get even more out of their firearms. We’re thrilled to offer more versatility and customization with these Renegauge models.”
The Renegauge is Savage’s first semi-automatic shotgun. It features the unique and Savage patented Dual Regulating Inline Valve (D.R.I.V.) gas system. As the name suggests, the D.R.I.V. gas system regulates the gas that drives the action. As the round fires, expand-ing gasses are vented from inside the barrel by two valves that work together to regulate the pressure needed to eject the spent shell.
In addition to the D.R.I.V. system, all Renegauge hunting rifles are offered in 12 GA and featured in a variety of finishes from black nitride to camo patterns. Hunters will be able to seamlessly attach various accessories to their Renegauge models, including optics like scopes and red dot sights. Best of all, it appears that this upgrade doesn't come with an upgraded price tag! For more information, visit SavageArms.com.
