.410 for Turkeys? Federal Ammunition Says Yes!

Federal Premium, long an innovator in the ammunition industry, has a brand-new addition to its shotshell lineup that NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits attendees can see for themselves: the .410 bore 9 shot Heavyweight TSS. Why do we suggest that you see it for yourself if you have the opportunity? Because, although it's difficult to believe that it's possible to take a wild turkey with a .410 bore shotgun, that's exactly what Federal Premium says the Heavyweight TSS can do...and their Annual Meetings booth features shot-spangled gelatin displays that display exactly that.

Of course, shot placement was, is and always will be the key to ethical hunting. However, between Federal's proprietary FLITECONTROL wad and the extreme density of tungsten, these innovative shotshells provide a perfect pattern that would definitely take a tom turkey cleanly...and they can do it without forcing you to wear long sleeves for a week after your successful hunt. Essentially, what these shells give you is the performance of #5 lead...in a #9 shot. For beginning hunters (as well as those among us who've done it before but are very recoil sensitive...ahem), being able to focus on the game without worrying about developing an anticipatory flinch is a real boon. Federal also reports that hunters are already making ethical turkey harvests at distances up to 40 yards!

Sometimes, less really is more. If you're near Dallas this weekend, come see for yourself!
