Savage Stance Xr Release

The year 2024 is proving to be one of Savage Arms' most innovative yet, with new rifles, calibers and, today, an all-new addition to its Stance family of pistols. Called the Stance XR, it was engineered for CCW and shooting comfort. Yes, that's possible, and Savage's Stance XR is here to prove it.

The Stance XR is a mini pistol with a mighty roar. With a 3.2" stainless-steel barrel, it's simple to conceal, and its magazine holds 13 rounds of 9mm (and you can put one in the chamber for a total of 14 rounds). It boasts all the features and functionality of the original Stance and more. In addition to the round capacity, the Stance also has a quick-release optics (QRO) plate that allows you to quickly switch out reflex topics and outfit the pistol the way you like best.

Savage understands that many people would rather just have the gun come out of the box ready to go, and that's why there's a whole series of Stance XR's. There's one that comes complete with an installed Crimson Trace reflex sight. There's a version with night sights. There's a version with iron sights. All of them come with interchangeable backstraps so you can adjust the grip size if you prefer ... and the switching is simple.

Speaking of simple, the Stance XR has a takedown lever that allows you to disassemble the pistol for cleaning and maintenance without using a tool (or having to pull the trigger). The sights are rounded to be snag-free, and the ambidextrous manual safety and slide catch mean that lefties will have the same functionality as right-handed shooters.

The Stance XR also features a short, crisp trigger with a short reset and a wide, well-rounded face. The steel slide has a beveled front, while stippling grip texture ensures a secure fit in the hand, providing a 360-degree grip with finger indexing.

"The Stance XR adds another reliable and versatile everyday carry pistol to our lineup," said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms. "With its increased capacity and the ability to easily attach different optics, the Stance XR offers enhanced functionality and customization options to meet the needs of our customers." MSRP depends upon model chosen; $469 - $659; SavageArms.com.
