Nosler Whitetail Country

It wouldn't be much of an exaggeration at all to say that America is Whitetail Country. Whitetailed deer are, after all, America's favorite big-game animal, ranging over most of the contiguous U.S. So it's really only natural that Nosler's new line of cartridges designed specifically for deer be dubbed Whitetail Country. New for 2024, Nosler's engineers have created two standout bullets that deliver premium terminal performance and reliability.

The Whitetail Country line includes two cartridges created for two different kinds of deer hunting. If you live in an area where straight-wall cartridges are mandated, or if you're hunting a specific "primitive weapons" season, you'll want to opt for the Straight-Wall. Tailored for the slower impact velocities you'll get with straight-wall ammunition, the bullet has a flat base and a truncated nose, which allows for smooth feeding in bolt guns and lever guns. That truncated nose is composed of lead for reliable expansion, with a form-fitted leaden core for stability and accuracy. It's fully compliant with straight-wall regulations nationwide, but with accuracy that mirrors a "bottleneck" bullet.

Speaking of the more traditional bullet design, Whitetail Country also includes the renowned Solid Base bullet. With a fifth-generation tapered jacket, a heavy base from which it draws its name and a boattail design, it was purpose-built to deliver deep penetration and optimal expansion for quick, efficient kills.

Of course, just because it says "whitetail" doesn't mean that it won't be a terrific choice for other cervids, like mule deer and elk. The line includes a wide array of big-game-ready calibers, including: 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 Win., 7mm-08 Rem., .30-30 Win., .308 Win., .30-06 Sprg. .350 Legend and .45-70 Govt. the Whitetail Country ammunition sets a new standard in deer hunting, providing unparalleled terminal performance and reliable expansion to kill deer quickly. MSRP starts at $34.95 per box, with the .45-70 Govt available at $39.95 per box. Nosler.com
