Wearing blaze orange when you're hunting is always a good idea, whether your locale requires it or not. The color is instantly identifiable to other people (even those whose color vision isn't good), helping to keep you safe in the fields and woods. But for so many people, blaze orange is an afterthought. ALPS OutdoorZ hopes to change that with its all-new Dialed-In Rifle Vest.

Dialing-in is another way to describe zeroing your scope, which is an absolute must for hunters before we step into the fields to shoot at game. ALPS OutdoorZ figures that once you try the Dialed-In vest, you'll see it the same way. A far cry from the often-ill-fitting safety vests of decades past, this vest enhances your hunting experience rather than hindering it. Constructed from comfortable, functional 4-way stretch fabric, this vest moves with you and offers a custom fit (it's available in six sizes). Unlike the old-school universal-fit vests we buy at the "big box" store minutes before the hunt the Dialed-In vest prevents snagging riflescopes and hanging up on the buttstock.

The Dialed-In Rifle Vest does more than "be bright and fit right." There's a zippered chest pocket that's perfect for lens wipes or optics covers, so you don’t need to unmount from the gun when waiting in the prone position. Left- and right-side zippered hand pockets are oversized to store larger items, including water bottles, rangefinders, gloves and more. For treestand hunters, the vest includes a safety harness pass-through port on the upper back panel.

Another benefit of the Dialed-In Rifle Vest is that it is built to meet the challenges of the field. A microfleece interior lining provides an added layer of warmth, as well as elevated wind resistance to maintain comfort. The inner lining is also ultra-quiet, which shushes shifting noises, even when wearing over a coat or other outer garment with “loud” nylon shells. MSRP $49.99; ALPSOutdoorZ.com.
