If there's anything better than a .22-caliber lever-action rifle to be your trailside companion, the enforcer of your "No Gophers Allowed" garden policy or your child's first training gun, it's a Rossi Rio Bravo .22-caliber lever-action rifle. Based on the company's popular line of R92 lever guns, the Rio Bravo is primed and ready to be your new favorite "truck gun."

With an overall length of 36 inches that includes an 18-inch barrel, this nimble little rimfire gun weighs in at only 5 1/2 pounds, so it's extremely manageable on the bench and in the field. It's a hammer-fired gun with a smooth sliding lever action and a cross-bolt safety system, so it's also a great training gun for new shooters. The negligible recoil and report of the .22-caliber cartridge makes shooting easy and fun for beginners--which is critical to continued success.

Of course, this gun wasn't just designed to train...it was designed to be your companion. It features a barrel band sling stud mounted ahead of the front sight and a rear sling stud in the stock, so you can carry it afield all day. Unlike other rimfire long guns, this lever gun can hold up to 15 rounds of .22LR ammunition in the magazine tube--meaning that you'll spend more time shooting and less time reloading.

The Rossi Rio Bravo will be available in two models; one with a black synthetic stock and one with a gorgeous German beechwood. The wood-stocked model uses traditional buckhorn sights; the synthetic model will have fiber-optic sights and an adjustable rear sight.
