Steyr Arms' reputation for top-end materials, precision engineering and devastating accuracy is both legendary in Europe and well-deserved...but many Americans aren't aware of all that this best-in-class Austrian firearms manufacturer has to offer the American shooter. Here at SHOT Show 2020, however, all that is about to change with the introduction of the brand-new Steyr Pro Hunter II bolt-action rifle. This tack-driver of a rifle, with its stainless-steel construction and hammer-forged barrel, was created with the American hunter (and the average American family budget) in mind.

In the past, Steyr firearms have been known among savvy U.S. hunters as the top of "top-end," with the sort of old-world reliability and craftsmanship that tends to make family heirlooms...for what is often an heirloom price. The Pro Hunter II boasts the same quality that hunters demand from a manufacturer like Steyr, but at a price within the reach of the average family. The MSRP for this rifle, which is expected to be available for sale by summer 2020, is $1,199.

The Pro Hunter II wears a laminated-wood Boyd stock, a Limbsavr recoil pad and Mossy Oak's "Gila" pattern camouflage for in-field durability and your comfort as a shooter. Like all Steyr rifles, the trigger is sweet and crisp, with a pull weight of approximately 3 pounds for superior follow-through. It features the same three-position safety for which Steyr is famous, and a 20-inch hammer-forged barrel.

The current offerings are chambered in .223 and 7mm-08, with 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Win. models slated for later this year. For more information, click here!
