First and foremost, did you know that America has a National Donut Day? (Now there's an under-celebrated holiday if we've ever heard of such.) It's on Friday, June 6 this year, and we have just learned about an all-new way to celebrate it: Target Sports USA's Donut Round Challenge. It's a combined marksmanship/social media challenge, and it sounds like a lot of fun.

The challenge starts on June 6, 2025, and ends June 13, 2025 with a sweet twist for shooting sports and donut lovers alike: Can you put five rounds into a standard donut hole without disturbing the donut? At stake is a chance to win some tactical gear ... here's how.

  1. Take a Shot: Record a video of yourself taking five shots in the center of a standard donut hole without disrupting the donut's structure. (Note: If you cannot shoot food items at your range, trace a donut on a blank piece of paper.)
  2. Post the video and tag @targetsportsusa on Instagram and Threads, @AMMOPlusbyTSUSA on X with the #TSUSADonutRoundChallenge
  3. Wait to see if you’ve won! Target Sports USA will reach out to five randomly selected contestants with next steps on receiving your mystery tactical gear prize.

Of course, we urge participants to follow all NRA gun-safety rules as well as range rules when taking part in this challenge. Furthermore, although we're sure you already know this, do not eat the target donut. (That's what the other 12 in the baker's dozen are for!)
