Let it Rain with Black Rain Ordnance

The AR-15 platform is incredibly versatile—perfect for plinking, competing and home defense—but many people consider the 5.56/.223 chambering to be a bit underpowered for hunting big game. The solution comes in the form of the .450 Bushmaster caliber, a heavy-hitting chambering that’s great for even thick-skinned big game. Black Rain Ordnance’s new line of .450 Bushmaster AR-15s will soon be bringing that big caliber … not to mention a lot of cool.

Speaking of that cool, the innovative finishes on these firearms are irresistible. The rifles are engraved, then Cerakoted, then hand-rubbed for a tactile finish that feels even better than it looks. BRO’s signature “biohazard” logo adorns each one, but that’s where the resemblance ends. There’s something for everyone, from a “battleworn Betsey Ross” pattern, to a “Gadsden flag” pattern, to a “Zombie Green,” to “midnight bronze” and (my favorite) Cold War Grey.

The new line of .450 chamberings will be available very soon—and the folks at Black Rain say that they are now beginning to catch up to demand on their “older” chamberings. Of course, “old” is a relative term here; in addition to the traditional 5.56mm, BRO offers .300 Blackout, 6.5 Creedmoor, .308, .458 SOCOM … all your favorite calibers. Check out their current line and stay abreast of the .450 Bushmaster release at BlackRainOrdnance.com.
