Refuse To Be A Victim (RTBAV) Executive Counselor Ed O'Carroll stands at the head of a packed room and explains gently, "This is your decision, what you're going to do in a criminal confrontation. In the next four hours, what we're going to be doing is giving you information that will help you create your own safety program." O'Carroll, a national trainer, has been teaching RTBAV to standing-room-only houses for over a decade. In that time, he's seen the program grow to help over 100,000 people develop a home- and self-defense strategy that works for their families.

Chief among the many benefits of attending the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits is the opportunity to enjoy seminars taught by subject matter experts who are at the top of their fields, and O'Carroll is no exception. The current Fairfax County, Virginia law-enforcement officer offers decades of real-world experience in risk reduction and the simple steps that ordinary citizens can take to prevent a criminal from targeting them. From home security, to cyber security, to safety when traveling, to mental preparedness, to self-defense strategies, RTBAV offers real-world hints that you can start putting into effect right now.

The RTBAV seminars are free to all show attendees, but they're very popular, and seating is first-come, first-served. The last RTBAV seminar of the 2016 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits will be held at noon on Sunday, May 22nd, in Room C205 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. Be early to ensure yourself a place--you won't regret it!
