What do waterfowlers need most? According to Winchester Ammunition, you need a custom blend of plated precision steel shot, with shot sizes carefully crafted specifically for this task. It's called Final Pass, and it's available in both 12- and 20-gauge.
Final Pass shotshells contain a custom blend of #2 ½ and #4 steel shot, which has 30% more pellets than a full #2 shot payload. For heavier waterfowl like geese, Final Pass is available in a blend of #1 ½ and #BB steel shot that has 25% more pellets than a full BB shot payload. It's a unique mix of plated precision steel shot sizes, designed for maximum pattern density and devastating energy upon impact. The blend includes half-sized shot to improve pellet counts without sacrificing critical penetration.
Winchester touts Final Pass' industry-leading round steel shot, engineered to fly true. Because it's steel, it won’t rust, keeping patterns tight and deadly. The shells themselves feature a double-seal wad system and lacquered primer, to ensure maximum water resistance--quite a boon for those who spend their times on shores and in boats.
