The Savage Model 110 is a classic bolt-action rifle; devastatingly accurate and incredibly reliable, hunters and marksmen have relied on the tried-and-true bolt-action platform for years...but if your hunting adventures have you walking for miles, you'll be stoked to hear about the new Model 110 Ultralite. This slimmed-down version of the 110 you know and love weighs in at a mere 6 pounds, and it's shipping now.

“The 110 Ultralite is a highly refined Model 110,” Jessica Treglia, Sr. Brand Manager at Savage Arms, said. “Our engineers have gone to great lengths to strip weight off the rifle, without sacrificing any of its functionality or accuracy. With the additional weight reduction from the Proof Research barrel, you’ll instantly feel the difference.”

Anyone who's ever been a bodybuilder knows that cutting weight without cutting strength is a real challenge, but the Savage engineers know all the tricks. With a skeletonized Melonite receiver and a carbon-fiber-wrapped stainless-steel barrel, the 110 Ultralite is just as resistant to shock and weather as its heavier forebears.

Yes, it's true that reducing weight on a rifle will increase its felt recoil, but the polymer stock is built with Savage AccuFit technology that allows you to customize the stock to fit your body dimensions perfectly. That functionality dampens perceived recoil, making shot-to-shot accuracy easier. It also means that you can quickly and easily change the rifle's stock for every member of your family to use. Then there's the famous AccuTrigger, which shooters the world over know is the best factory trigger on the market.

The Ultralite is available chambered in all of your favorite calibers: 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win., .280 Ackley, .30-06 Spfld., .300 WSM and .28 Nosler in barrel lengths designed to optimize each load. The MSRP is $1499 for all of them; click here for more information!
