You've heard of "neighborhood watch," and it's a great idea. The knowledge that people might be watching and recording is a deterrent to criminals. So why not do the same thing with your land or lease, to put poachers on notice? It's called Whitetail Watch, and it's an anti-poaching initiative courtesy of Whitetails Unlimited. The point is to improve hunter/landowner relations, and reduce the crime of poaching.

It's very simple. Whitetails Unlimited is offering free Whitetail Watch signs and decals. Once you get yours, Whitetails Unlimited recommends that you post one sign for every 300' of road frontage, or four signs per 40 acres. These signs will serve as visible reminders to poachers that citizens are on the watch, and suspicious activity will be reported to the wildlife law enforcement.

For the best results, set up trail cams out of easy reach ... and get your neighbors to join in! The more land that features posted Whitetail Watch signs, the fewer places for poachers to feel safe commiting their crimes.

Whitetail Watch property signs are made from PVC, measuring 11.25" on a side, and are white with red-and-black printing. Decals matching the sign, measuring 3.5" on a side, are also available. The signs and decals are suitable for use anywhere in the United States. To order complimentary Whitetail Watch signs or decals, please call Whitetails Unlimited National Headquarters at (920) 743-6777, or send an e-mail to [email protected].
