Larry and Brenda Potterfield started life as "country kids from Missouri," and as the owners of MidwayUSA they've achieved what most kids only dream of...but they're dedicated to making sure that the next generation (and the one after that) can fulfill their own dreams. Their MidwayUSA Foundation serves to provide sustainable financial support to youth shooting sports teams, and their most recent donation of $281,280 proves how serious they are about this commitment. Last year alone, the Potterfields donated over 2 million dollars.
The MidwayUSA Foundation is a public charity working to sustain the shooting sports industry by providing long-term funding to youth shooting teams. Shooting teams with a Team Endowment Account can draw 5 percent of their account balance each year to use for team expenses. The funds can be used for ammunition, uniforms, entry fees, travel costs and more. In 2017, Larry and Brenda have committed to a 2:1 matching program, administered by the MidwayUSA Foundation. The program allows private donors to designate a specific shooting team to benefit 100 percent from their donation. Funds returned to Team Endowment Accounts that teams generate from MidwayUSA Foundation fundraisers will also be eligible for a donation match.
