The Grimm family is quickly becoming legend in the world of philatelists, having taken home their second win in a federal duck stamp contest. You may remember that young Madison Grimm, who was six years old when she won the 2013 Federal Junior Duck Stamp Contest with her picture of a drake canvasback, set a record as the youngest-ever winner of that competition.

This time it wasn’t Madison but her father, Adam, with his beautiful painting of a pair of sunlight-drenched canvasbacks, who was declared the winner of the 2014-15 Federal Duck Stamp Competition. This is the second time that Adam has won the contest. In 1999, he took the top prize for his drake mottled uck, setting the first family record as the youngest artist to ever win such an award. “Rejoice in the things you think are impossible,” says Madison.
