Video Review: SIG Sauer P322

It's the baby sister to SIG's incredibly popular P320 pistol, chambered in .22LR for your plinking and training needs.

SIG Sauer's P320 was an instant classic the moment it was released. The moment after it was released, everyone wondered when the company would release a .22LR version. Over the years, the company tackled more pressing consumer demands, but the desire to answer this one never went away. The new SIG P322, built on the footprint of the 320, has been worth the wait.

The beauty of the P322 is immediately evident in that it retains the look and feel of its big sister, the P320. What's different is, of course, the rimfire chambering ... not only is .22 less expensive to shoot than centerfire rounds, its relatively gentle report and recoil make it perfect for new shooters.

The P322 is every bit as feature-rich as the 320. Boasting a threaded muzzle capable of accepting a suppressor, shooters can further reduce the perceived recoil and noise to virtually nil. It comes with a great set of adjustable sights, but it's also optics-ready so users can add reflex sights. With a 6-inch sight radius that helps boost accuracy with or without a red-dot, this semi-auto handgun really feels purpose-built to make range time a success and a pleasure.
