Tori Nonaka, from Team GLOCK, has earned her third consecutive USPSA National Ladies Championship, and is the youngest woman to do so in shooting history!

The competition was held in Frostproof, Florida, home of the Universal Shooting Academy and the 2015 USPSA Back to Back Handgun Nationals. Tori and Shane Coley, Team GLOCK captain, competed in 42 courses during the competition.

Universal Shooting Academy has the reputation of being one of the most difficult shooting competitions in the nation; it relies heavily on accuracy. So, Coley and Nonaka altered their training to be more accuracy focused. They trained long and hard, and it paid off. In the Limited Division, Coley placed third and Nonaka second, then in Limited 10 Division Nonaka proved that second place wasn’t good enough. She, and her G24, embraced three days of excellent shooting relinquishing absolutely no points. Tori won the Limited 10 National Division, making this the third championship win of her Team GLOCK career.

“I have to thank my family for their support through all of these years of travel and competition,” Tori said, smiling at the awards ceremony. “Also to GLOCK for always believing in me and making my dreams come true this 2015 shooting season.”

Congratulations, Tori! We hope we get a chance to write this again next year.

We also wish luck to Captain Coley: He’s training for the IDPA “BUG” Gun Nationals and the Kentucky Handgun Championships.
