Teddy Roosevelt remains one of America's most iconic heroes, with a lifetime of astounding military bravery, public service and the creation of the world's first real conservation program. His legacy lives on today in ways that only a few past American presidents can match. Roosevelt was famous for his prowess at hunting, as well as his dedication to the idea of fair chase (given that he invented it). Roosevelt was an avid gun owner and collector ... but as a military leader of his time, he also had swords.

Although this fascinating video is from American Rifleman TV's "I Have This Old Gun," yes, it does describe a saber. Yes, we know, but if you bear with us, you'll get an in-depth understanding of the historical importance of this beautiful old military arm ... even if no ballistics are involved.
