If you're a hunter whose pursuit of game takes you to the most extreme terrain, you know the value of a real mountain rifle...and you'll definitely also want to know about Kimber's latest addition to their Open Range line of bolt-action rifles: the Pro Carbons. There are four in all, so there's one sure to satisfy the most discerning mountain hunter.

These ultralight, bolt-action beauties are, like all Kimber rifles, patterned after the storied, Mauser-style, controlled feed actions with three position wing safeties and locking bolts. Also like all Kimber rifles, they're crafted and machined to match-grade dimensions with exacting quality control and Sub-MOA performance. Naturally, as you would expect for a top-end manufacturer like Kimber, the new Pro Carbon rifles have high level performance features like all-weather KimPro finish and extremely strong, light and well-balanced AG Composites carbon fiber stocks. Said stocks are available in either soft touch GORE Optifade Open Country (pictured above) or textured granite patterns.

“We are very excited to add these rifles to the Kimber lineup for 2020,” commented Chris Faust, Product Manager for Kimber. “We were looking for cutting-edge performance to enhance our popular line of lightweight, accurate mountain rifles."

Part of that search led Kimber to partner with Proof Researcha market leader in high-tech barrels. That means the Pro Carbon rifles sport some of the best barrels available, 24-inch PROOF Research carbon-fiber barrels. Chambered in your choice of the flat-shooting 6.5 Creedmoor or .308 Winchester, these tack-drivers can reach from mountaintop to mountaintop to harvest the sheep of your dreams. What's best of all, they weigh less than 6.5 pounds unloaded, with muzzle brakes...and your back will thank you for every single ounce you didn't make it carry.

The MSRP for the 6.5 Creedmoor/Open Country, 6.5 Creedmoor/Granite, .308 Win./Open Country and .308 Win./Granite all have the same MSRP: $3,099. For more information, please visit kimberamerica.com.
