The 2025 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits were revolutionary in many ways, with a newly elected President and a re-elected Executive Vice President. We also instituted the new "Voices of the Second Amendment" media row, with podcasters and radio personalities doing live reporting from the exhibit-hall floor. There, America's 1st Freedom Editor-in-Chief Frank Miniter sat down with Doug Hamlin, NRA's EVP & CEO since May 2024.

You may have heard the phrase "NRA 2.0," which was coined by our new president, Bill Bachenberg. What's new here at the NRA? What has changed? Some things are the same ... we'll never stop in our full-throated defense of the Second Amendment. But other things are different, and very, very excitin.

Hamlin has been working to grow NRA membership, to advance its legislative goals, and to restore accountability and transparency to the organization. “We’re working day and night,” said Hamlin. “We’re working seven days a week to put this organization back in the place it should be.” This exclusive interview is the first of many to come!
