As NRA Family readers know, the rules for which guns and ammunition can be used to hunt various game change from state to state. Some states mandate what's called a "straight-wall cartridge" for hunting deer. Winchester Ammunition has been at the forefront of producing modern loads that make the absolute most of the straight-wall design for some time, and 2024 brings the line extension that hunters have been waiting for: 400 Legend Power Point and Super Suppressed.

The 400 Legend is a superior straight-walled cartridge with best-in-class ballistics for both hunters and sport shooters. The straight-walled design of the 400 Legend qualifies it for use in several states that restrict bottle-necked cartridges for hunting. This heavy-hitting cartridge is optimal for deer, hog, black bear and other big game within 300 yards ... and offers significant advantages in ballistics performance, recoil and penetration.

Super Suppressed ammunition is optimized for firearms equipped with suppressors. Offering clean and reliable performance, the Super Suppressed line is engineered for noise reduction, decreased barrel/suppressor fouling and recoil mitigation. Consistent performance and exceptional accuracy is backed by generations of Winchester legendary excellence.
