Turkey Stamp 2024

Two years ago, Mossy Oak began an experiment: releasing wild-turkey conservation stamps for sale. All proceeds would go directly to wild turkey conservation projects around the country. From the idea to the execution, the program has been a terrific success, and Mossy Oak never messes with success. That's why the company has just released its third annual collectible wild turkey conservation stamp.

The 2024 Mossy Oak Wild Turkey Conservation Stamp features a painting by famous wildlife painter Ryan Kirby entitled “Bottomland Bachelors,” in which three gobblers stroll through a sundrenched patch of woods on the hunt for hens. As in previous years, 100% of proceeds will go into Mossy Oak's Gamekeeper Grants conservation program. to, with the help of leading scientists and biologists, carefully choose which conservation and research projects to support next.

Mossy Oak has been able to use the funds raised from 2022 and 2023's stamps to support research and projects such as groundbreaking and crucial LPDV (a virus endemic to wild turkeys) research, hen survival, nesting selection and success, poult rearing and general habitat improvement, and putting more prescriptive fire on the landscape.

Says Mossy Oak founder Toxey Haas, "When we started this turkey stamp, one of our hopes was that more state agencies would revive their old turkey stamp programs - that the collective impact would be much greater than any one state or group and that thousands of dollars would turn into millions of dollars.

"Arkansas and Wisconsin have already continued their stamps, our home state of Mississippi currently has a stamp in the works for next season, and more of our friends in other states will have a stamp of their own in the coming years. has written a letter to stamp purchasers to thank and encourage everyone for the enthusiastic support for the wild turkey."
