Did you know that falls from treestands are the most common cause of injury to hunters? It's true, and it's also one hundred percent avoidable. August is Treestand Safety Month, largely because that's when most of the nation's bowhunting seasons begin.
That said, we should probably think of every month as treestand safety month. After all, bowhunters aren't the only people who use treestands to hunt, nor is the month of August the only time we take to the trees with bow, shotgun, and rifle.
