Savage Arms is branching out from its bolt-gun roots today with its brand-new RXR22, a versatile little .22LR semi-automatic rifle. Suitable for plinking, training, and small-game hunting, Savage designed this rifle to be customizable and scalable. Best of all, it's offered at a price any NRA Family can afford.
One of the coolest aspects of the new RXR22 is that it's compatible with aftermarket Ruger 10/22 magazines, triggers, and barrels ... and there are a lot of those on the market! This allows the user to customize the rifle as time, budget, and preference allow.
The RJR22 incorporates a quick-release trigger group, metal sling studs, and a Picatinny accessory rail under the fore-end tip. The synthetic stock features a vertical pistol grip with interchangeable grip inserts, so you can adjust the length-of-pull (LOP) to match the shooter's stature. Cleaning is a cinch with a cleaning port that's located at the rear of the receiver.
The RXR22 features a reliable blowback semi-automatic operation and a rugged polymer receiver with an integrated Picatinny top rail. Its 16.5" precision button-rifled barrel includes a recessed target crown and a threaded muzzle (1/2"x28) should you wish to attach a suppressor. The rifle comes complete with a 10-round rotary magazine that offers a last-round bolt hold-open feature.
“The new RXR is built for shooters who demand more than just accuracy. They want a platform that adapts to their style, discipline and ambition,” said RJ Contorno, Savage Arms Senior Product Manager. “This rifle offers unmatched versatility and customization straight out of the box. Whether you're dialing in for competition or building your ideal training rig, this is the rimfire that grows with you.”
The RXR22 is perfect for seasoned shooters seeking a modern edge and those new to rimfire. MSRP $299; SavageArms.com.
