The Ruger American Rifle Generation II family is growing with an all-new edition: the Prairie model. This enhancement to the American Rifle Gen II is available in both intermediate and long-range calibers. Currently available you'll find models in .22 ARC, .223 Rem., .308 Win., and 6.5 Creedmoor, with .300 Win. Mag. and 7mm PRC coming soon. The Prairie line offers all the same features you love in the original platform, but in a handsome new colorway.
The Prairie's attractive black stock is textured with gray and bronze splatter for excellent grip and control in the field as well as a durable, Smoked Bronze Cerakote barreled action. The bull contour, cold hammer-forged barrel helps to soften perceived recoil, while the shallow spiral fluting provides additional cooling. The muzzle is threaded to accept suppressors or other accessories, and comes complete with a color-matched thread protector.
The American Rifle Gen II continues to build on the reliability and accuracy of the original Ruger American Rifle with its improved ergonomics, three-position safety with stainless steel locking bolt, and more rigid stock. MSRP $729; Ruger.com.
