Henry Repeating Arms has always focused on safety and mentoring new shooters, so it's no surprise that the Wisconsin-based gun manufacturer has just released an upgraded version of its wildly popular Mini Bolt single-shot bolt-action rifle. Dubbed the Mini Bolt Youth G2, this diminutive rifle boasts an integrated feed ramp in the receiver, which permits easier, safer loading and smoother operation.
The Mini Bolt Youth G2 is a perfect first rifle or trainer rifle, because it offers an added layer of safety. It offers both a manual thumb safety switch and an exposed cocking knob at the rear of the bolt, which gives instructors, parents, and mentors a clear visual and tactile control, making it easy to teach safe handling practices with confidence. The added step also slows down the pace of training so that every shot is deliberate and controlled.
With an 11.5” length of pull (LOP), it’s proportioned to fit smaller frames comfortably. Weighing just 3.25 lbs, it’s light enough to shoulder comfortably, but heavy enough to fully absorb the already-minimal recoil of the .22 S/L/LR chambering.
To ensure accuracy and boost confidence from the very beginning, the rifle features bright fiber optic sights with two red rear dots and a green front dot for an easy-to-acquire and easy-to-teach sight picture in a variety of lighting conditions.
Built with a corrosion-resistant stainless steel barrel and receiver, the Mini Bolt Youth G2 is designed to withstand the wear and tear of training environments like camps, ranges, and instructional programs. The synthetic stock features wraparound checkering for a secure grip and is available in both classic black and vibrant Muddy Girl camo finishes. Made in America and bearing a lifetime warranty, the Mini Bolt Youth G2 was creatred to provide new shooters with the safest, simplest, and most satisfying experience behind the trigger.
“As a family-owned company and longtime advocate for youth shooting sports, we feel that it’s our responsibility to deliver the kinds of products that families use to pass down tradition, make memories, and spend quality time together,” said Anthony Imperato, Founder and CEO of Henry Repeating Arms. “The Mini Bolt Youth G2 reflects that mission with every detail, and I look forward to hearing from families all over the country who choose to make it a part of their story.” MSRP $335, HenryUSA.com.
