Eaa Girsan Witness Match

Can a match-grade double-stack 1911-style pistol cost offer exceptional performance for under $1K? European American Armory (EAA) has just announced a new addition to its lineup: a double-stack 1911 that's shipping now, the Girsan Witness2311 Match. (EAA is an importer, and Girsan is the Turkish manufacturer of these high-quality handguns.) Designed to deliver exceptional performance at 25 yards, this full-size double-stack 1911 is chambered in 9mm.

The Girsan Witness2311's feature-rich presentation belies its small price tag. Starring a reverse-crowned bull barrel system for enhanced accuracy, it comes with a full-length accessory rail, an optic-ready slide under a fully adjustable rear-sight cap and a removable magazine well for customizable reloading options. An extended beavertail grip and ambidextrous thumb safety, as well as an aggressive grip texture, make this pistol easy to control for swift shot-to-shot recovery.

This is no bare-bones offering. The gun's sleek aesthetics are enhanced with an attractive two-tone Cerakote finish that offers scratch resistance as well as style. The Witness2311 Match ships with one 17-round and one 20-round magazine, a 4.5 lb. tuned trigger and a hard travel case. MSRP $989; EAACorp.com.
