It's November, time for hunting season, falling leaves and Thanksgiving turkeys. But it's important to not overlook one aspect of November: Veteran's Day. It's a great time to honor the heroes who serve and have served our country, by reminding them just how much we appreciate their contributions. Towards that end, Carhartt, the famous work wear company, has just announced the release of the Special Edition American “C” Acrylic Watch Hat. The hat will be available gratis to active-duty and retired military service members in celebration of Veterans Day throughout the month of November as a gift to demonstrate their longstanding support of America’s active-duty and retired armed forces.

“Members of our armed forces are among the country’s hardest workers,” said Tony Ambroza, senior vice president of marketing. “We have a great respect for the men and women of our military because many come from families of artisans and craftspeople who’ve been Carhartt consumers for generations.”

Gotta get one? From now through November 30, just head down to one of Carhartt’s 21 company-owned retail store locations and present your military I.D. (If you're not a vet but would like to get a hat as a surprise for the military service member in your life, the special edition hat will also be available for purchase at Carhartt’s owned retail locations and on Carhartt.com for $14.99.) The locations are:

Carhartt Cascades Station – Portland, Oregon
