At first glance, this Thompson/Center T/CR22 rifle might deceive you into thinking it's something else...but, as American Hunter's Jon Draper explains in this video, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Although this sweet little semi-automatic rimfire is definitely compatible with 10/22 aftermarket accessories, you may find you don't need them. Between the T/CR22's Magpul furniture, suppressor-ready 17-inch button-rifled barrel, 10-round included rotary magazine and simple, intuitive action, you may find that you enjoy this "book" enough to preserve it as a family treasure. Rifles like this one are perfect for introducing new shooters to the sport; the lack of recoil and (with a fitted silencer and subsonic .22 ammunition) silent operation help beginners to learn the fundamentals of gun safety and handling. Is the T/CR22 your next family purchase? Check out this video and see!
