One of the greatest challenges in ensuring the future of the youth shooting sports is to support youth shooting teams with the funds they need for equipment, ammunition, uniforms, entry fees, travel costs and more. Towards this end, Larry and Brenda Potterfield, owners of MidwayUSA, have pledged matching funds for every donation that comes through the MidwayUSA Foundation. Donors who work through the Foundation choose the shooting team that will receive their donation, and then the Potterfields match that donation. The most recent matching fund was an astonishing $99,077, which will directly benefit youth shooting sports.
The MidwayUSA Foundation does more than support teams with donations, as well. It also offers promotional items that teams may use as fundraisers. For example, right now teams can register to receive a Winchester Model 70 Super Grade rifle, as well as Browning Butcher Kits to raise funds for their shooting team.
