One of the most interesting new guns we've seen isn't really new at all; we first saw it at the 2020 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show. At the time, the Rossi USA Gallery 22 was a new spin on an old favorite that's a new spin on an old favorite. Sound weird?

Well, at the time, reviewer Frank Melloni explained, "The sport of plinking arguably started during the days of the shooting gallery. In those days, American boardwalk-goers would fire low-power rimfire cartridges at a variety of reactive targets through guns that were just plain fun to handle and shoot. Rossi remembered these days and built their original pump-action Model 62 (with a little “inspiration” from Winchester, of course) for those looking to relive the fun. Well, eventually, they moved on to other designs and left a hole in the shooting community that was much larger than .22 of an inch."

Nearly two years have gone by since that first hint that Rossi was bringing back the classic Model 62 "gallery gun." That two-year gap was due to the enormous and unexpected pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, our friends at American Rifleman have their hands on a production model, now dubbed the Rossi Gallery 22. This is one fun, dependable rifle for the "old hands" who remember the original as well as all the new shooters out there in 2021!
