Since 2021, Bergara's Micro Rimfire (BMR) series has delighted rimfire shooters with its superior accuracy and reliability. Now, our friends at American Rifleman are taking its latest evolution, the BMR-X Steel, to the range to put it through its paces. Unlike the previous models, this one is optimized for competition.
This bolt-action rifle offers enhancements that previous iterations didn't. It starts with an 18" 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel, which adds weight to the rifle and offers stability and weight. The barrel's muzzle is threaded, so shooters can add a suppressor if they wish. It also has ergonomic differences in the stock, most notably an adjustable length-of-pull (LOP) courtesy of three stock spacers. That's a huge boost for smaller-statured shooters.
