Throwback Thursday: American Rifleman's YouTube Debut

So low-resolution and grainy ... how did we even live back then? (Still a great shotgun, though!)

"American Rifleman Editor-in-Chief Mark Keefe shoots the Benelli Vinci shotgun for the first time and breaks down the features." That's the simple description that begat three thousand more, when NRA Publications launched our YouTube channel all the way back in 2009. Fifteen years have come and gone since then, and much has changed (to say the least). Over the years, we've upgraded our equipment--which, in our defense, was bleeding-edge high-tech at the time--and we've filled our YouTube channel out to 3,700 videos covering guns, gear, history, tips, tricks, celebrity interviews and so much more.

Oh, to be sure, in another 15 years we'll be laughing at the graininess of videos filmed in 2024 ... but we'll get there when we get there. Until then, we have one request: Help us get this very first video up to 80,000 views, one for every NRA Member we're hoping to have join us at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Dallas, Texas this May. Our video crew will be there to memorialize every fun minute with our NRA Family and yours. See you there!
