When we talk about concealed carry (CCW), we tend to focus on the gun's size, weight, and carrying capacity. That's for obvious reasons--after all, the point of a CCW handgun is that it's concealable. Trouble is, concealability tends to run in opposition to shootability. The truth is that small, lightweight handguns can be difficult to grip properly (especially if you have large hands). Depending on the caliber, they also tend to offer more felt recoil than larger pistols.
That's why, when Walther Arms announced that its new PK380 was created for ease of use as well as concealability, our friends at American Rifleman perked up their ears.
"A few years ago, we watched Walther come to market with a brand new series of Performance Duty Pistols, the PDP. Now, this takes the PDP and wraps it into the older PK380 handgun," American Rifleman Managing Editor Christopher Olsen said. "The PK380 was really the first focal point for Walther to make a gun that everybody could shoot."
