Exactly 50 years ago, CZ USA released the CZ 75, which remains one of the most robust and well-loved platforms in America, despite its Czech origins. Over time, the U.S. market has changed significantly, with more and more people carrying concealed (CCW) all the time. That meant that CZ needed to keep its iconic 75 updated, and the latest iteration is the CZ USA P-09 F Nocturne.

Unlike its predecessor, which has a steel frame (and thus, some extra weight), the P-09 F Nocturne sports a polymer grip frame, reducing its weight to 29.6 oz. unloaded. Thanks to recent advancements in handgun design, the P-09 Nocturne series of pistols have modular controls and feature the latest updates, such as an interchangeable safety lever that allows for “cocked and locked” single-action carry.

A note on that last: The P-09 F Nocturne is a DA/SA (double action/single action) semi-auto pistol. As configured from the factory, the pistol has a decocker installed that provides a double-action trigger pull for the first shot. Shooters will still enjoy that great Omega trigger assembly, and the gun ships optic-ready.

In this great review from our friends at American Rifleman, you can follow us along on the range as we play the Nocturne's song. For more, visit CZ-USA.com.
