If there's anything the last couple of years have taught us, it's that concealed carriers still want small, shrouded-hammer, double-action-only revolvers for self-defense. Taurus has heard us loud and clear, and this year, the company has re-released a previously discontinued wheelgun: the 850. The year 2025 marks the return of a Taurus revolver that disappeared some years ago, but now, it's back again! The little revolver offers five shots of .38 Spl. With every surface rounded and smoothed, it's a great option for pocket carry with a compatible holster.

Available in sleek black and stainless-steel finishes, with 2" and 3" barrel options, the Taurus 850 has a serrated front sight that can either be adjusted for accuracy or removed to eliminate the "snag point" of a front sight. MSRP $424.99 - $439.99 depending upon model chosen; TaurusUSA.com
