New Guns 2025: Savage Arms Stance XR Pistol

Smaller, smoother, and enhanced with safety features, this micropistol is a big winner.

When Savage Arms initially introduced its Stance pistol, it was a huge departure from what the manufacturer had been producing for decades. Now, Savage is introducing its Stance XR for 2025, an addition to its line that boasts several new features, including improved magazine capacity, an accessory rail on the frame, a redesigned trigger, and an innovative red-dot mounting system that makes it easy to add and remove optics.

With a 3.2" stainless-steel barrel, the Stance XR is CCW-friendly. Its rounded, snag-free sights allow for smooth holstering and unholstering. It features an ambidextrous manual safety and slide catch, which means that left- and right-handed shooters will be able to manipulate the firearm with the same ease.

Don't let its diminutive size fool you; the Stance XR's magazine holds 13 rounds of 9mm (and you can put one in the chamber for a total of 14 rounds). In addition to the round capacity, the Stance also has a quick-release optics (QRO) plate that allows you to quickly switch out reflex topics and outfit the pistol the way you like best. It also has a takedown lever that allows you to disassemble the pistol for cleaning and maintenance without using a tool (or having to pull the trigger).

There are three models to choose from: the Stance XR 3-Dot, the Stance XR XP Model, and the Stance XR Night Sights model. All three are available in your choice of black, flat dark earth (FDE), and gray. MSRP $469-$659, depending upon model chosen; SavageArms.com
