The inside-the-waistband (IWB) carry method is the most popular on-body way to carry your defensive handgun concealed. The appendix-carry position, which places the gun right over your (you guessed it!) appendix is among the most popular positions. When the IWB method meets the appendix carry position, we call it AIWB carry. This is a time-tested and well-understood way to carry concealed (CCW), but there's a little tiny bit of a drawback, and it has to do with the (um) "draw back" from the holster. When you draw your firearm from this position, you have to watch out for your own anatomy. In this great video from Shooting Illustrated's Kevin Creighton, you'll learn the three-step AIWB draw process ... all under a minute, and to the tune of a jolly ragtime!
