CCW Minute: Getting Comfortable with Carrying a Gun

Here's one quick trick to train yourself to carry your defensive firearm with you all the time.

They say that "the first rule of surviving a gunfight is to have a gun." It seems reductive, but it's true. Thing is, until we get comfortable with carrying our defensive firearms every day, it's tempting to slide into our old habits: "But I'm only going down the street"; "but I'm going to a low-crime area"; "but I'm in a hurry."

These are all terrible reasons to not CCW! Out of all the Armed Citizen events that your NRA has chronicled for decades, vanishingly few of those people were expecting trouble before it happened. Training yourself to concealed carry all the time is, therefore, almost as important as training yourself how to use it. That's the focus of today's CCW Minute, courtesy of Shooting Illustrated's inimitable Kevin Creighton. In just one minute, he'll teach you a trick to help you get comfortable with carrying your defensive gun.
