There are lots of factors to consider when you're thinking about what caliber of gun to carry concealed. As we've discussed here before, pocket carry is one of the simplest ways to conceal your defensive gun. As we've also discussed here, guns small enough for pocket carry also tend to be chambered in a small caliber. Two of the most common are .380 and .22. So what's the difference? Which is better?

As you'll learn in this brief video from Shooting Illustrated's Kevin Creighton, both calibers are considered underpowered for self-defense. However, the stopping power of the projectile is only part of the equation. There's also the question of your ability to put the rounds on target quickly, and that's what today's demonstration covers. As always, the final decision is up to you ... we're just providing the information you'll need to make the best choices for your circumstances.
