The National Shooting Sports Foundation awarded a $25,000 grant to DNR's Wildlife and Heritage Service to create the new Maryland Hunting and Shooting Sports Outreach Program. This program will provide assistance to new hunters and shooters of any age to become more familiar with these outdoor activities. Experts from the DNR will partner up with local public shooting ranges to host a series of hands-on workshops. The workshops are expected to open to the public this summer.
