Video Review: Federal Premium Shorty Shotshells

Proving for good that big things do come in short li'l packages, Federal Premium's Shorty Shotshells were the talk of the Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show this January. They're little, but they definitely pack all of the punch you expect out of your 12-gauge! Federal currently recommends that these shells be used in single-shot or break-action shotguns, as their size can make cycling difficult in semi-automatic shotguns. Reasonably priced and easily stored, these little wonders are perfect for the outdoorsperson who keeps a shotgun handy in their truck or ATV, but isn't looking to keep more than a handful of backup shells. Available in #8 shot, #4 buck and a rifled slug, with stopping power comparable to much larger rounds, the Federal Premium Shorty Shotshell might just be your new go-to "Is that a coyote by the hen coop?" round!
