Ever since Smith & Wesson first introduced the M&P Shield in 2012, it's been an extremely popular choice for folks who carry firearms on their person. The single-stack semi-automatic handgun offers what many shooters believe is the ideal balance of weight, shootability and concealability. However, in the five years since its introduction, Smith & Wesson has rolled out a number of upgrades to the Shield, including some Performance Center models that are setting the "early adopters" to wondering if there's any way they can upgrade the base-model Shield they already own. In this video, American Rifleman's Joe Kurtenbach tackles that question with some realistic advice and easy-to-follow how-to's.
