The Smith & Wesson M&P Shield line of striker-fired pistols designed for concealed carry has been a huge hit since the venerable gun manufacturer introduced it to the public, but many were disappointed when the Shield was not initially offered chambered in .45ACP. Smith & Wesson's answer to that demand is here: the M&P45 Shield.
