VIDEO: Birth of the Baby Browning CCW Pistol

There's little debate about the fact that John Moses Browning is one of the fathers of modern firearms science, but there are a few doubts about the "legitimacy" of one of his babies, the Baby Browning. In this installment of American Rifleman's I Have This Old Gun, the American Rifleman team delves into the mixed and colorful history of one of America's earliest true concealed-carry repeating handguns.

Originally, Browning envisioned this semi-automatic micropistol in .25ACP as a companion piece to the Browning Pocket Model, and he thought of it as the "Model 1905 Vest Pocket Pistol." However, this diminutive and well-made little CCW gun quickly just became known as the "Baby Browning." Although this particular little handgun definitely could use some ergonomic updates, it holds the distinction of having been referred to as "just so cute" by a senior editor of American Rifleman.
