Throwback Thursday: Teens Take Gold in Italy

In this week's #ThrowbackThursday, we're going back to August 2005's print issue of NRA InSights, in which we highlighted the achievements of two teenage shooting phenoms.

Sixteen-year-old Vincent Hancock from Eatonton, Georgia, continued his domination in the world of international skeet by winning a gold medal at his World Championship debut in Lonato, Italy, on May 31. Hancock won with a 148 score, one target ahead of Ennio Falco, of Italy. He wasn’t the only young American standout either. In junior women’s trap, Susan Sledge of El Cajon, California, also competing in her first World Championships, won the bronze medal with a score of 62.
