If you've been keeping an eye out for fun, family-friendly vacation destinations here on NRA Family, you may have noticed that Colonial Williamsburg has recently opened a new musket range. Perfectly in line with the "Revolutionary City" way of life, the range allows visitors to shoot real, period-appropriate flintlock muskets under the close supervision of firearms instructors and Range Officers. Although the range has only been open for a little over a month, it's already starting to attract some pretty high-profile visitors. Last week, rock star and TV dad extraordinaire Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack Osbourne stopped by to enjoy the living-history destination. While there, they donned traditional Revolutionary War "crocked hats" and fired 18th-century-style muskets. History buffs Ozzy and Jack (whom Ozzy has described as "gun crazy") were visiting Colonial Williamsburg as part of an unannounced mystery project.
“We were thrilled to have Ozzy and Jack Osbourne visit the Revolutionary City and experience our new educational musket range,” said Colonial Williamsburg spokesman Joe Straw. “Their visit underscores Colonial Williamsburg’s undiminished relevance and the broad appeal of our new and more engaging programming.”

To participate, guests must reserve spaces in advance and present photo ID to purchase tickets on-site. Tickets are $119 and are available to guests ages 14 and older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
